An LDS Conversation

A daily log of the Lord’s blessings in my life!

Temple Night

Well, today I am most grateful that everything worked out for me to go to the temple with the ladies from my ward.  I love it when everything works out for that.  I have also been blessed to receive some insight into the lesson that I am teaching in Relief Society on the first Sunday in March.  My last lesson was on Optimism.  I think I am going to take my inspiration this time from President Eyring’s talk about “Someday.”  I just want to teach something that will be most helpful to the sisters in my ward.

I have also been reading the Book of Mormon for the Hinckley Challenge (to read the Book of Mormon in 97 days in memory and honor of President Hinckley) and I have been gaining great insights from the chapeters I have read thus far.

I also got a comment from someone about the Pope and that they usually are well known and that they are always well known within the cardinals.  I am grateful for that comment.

We are moving in only four short days.  I am grateful that Iam helping some friends out by watching their kids for them.  I have realized that you can’t really just wait for service opportunities to come to you, you have to plan for them and go get them.  I watched two little kids today for a friend and it really helped me get my house cleaned up in little less than an hour.  I am grateful for that.  I have been meaning to do that, and nothing gets cleaning done like little kids coming over to play!!  :)

We were also blessed with an unexpected first paycheck.  We thought John was only getting paid for a few days, but he was paid for the few days plus the first two weeks of February.  So yeay!

That is all for tonight.  God bless!
