I read this chapter this morning and it talks of the people in the promised land just before the coming of Christ.  John and I still read the Book of Mormon together everyday.  We are reading in Helaman and it is 7BC.  I have told him that I like reading the Book of Mormon by myself and then with him because I think of one account while reading the other.  Well, none like today.  Nephi actually sees a vision of the people right before Christ comes to them.  Pretty much he sees those people we are reading about right now.  Wow!  I don’t find it a coincidence that I read these chapters so close together or that we are at that part of the book while I am at this part.

Jesus comes to visit Nephi’s people and he see that.  He sees that Jesus appoints twelve apostles and learns that they will be judged of the original twelve because they are of the House of Israel.  Jesus, He is who this whole book is about.   He comes to these people.  He lives!  He was resurrected. I am grateful for this account to tell me these things!
