The Lesson

Well, today was the lesson on the things that I studied. I loved it. I had a thought or comment going through my head on every question she asked. I felt like I was answering every question though, so I kept somethings to myself. I remember putting on my site the quote by Romney (President Marion G Romney, not Mitt Romney) and in class I had the actual paper study guide. So I looked at the page and I didn’t see the quote. I could have sworn it was a part of the lesson. Well, luckily I had John’s phone with the internet scriptures in my hand so I just searched for the quote on lds.org. I found it and then I turned the page in my little study guide. It was on the next page. Too funny. By the time all that went down, we were so far passed the question she asked that I was going to make that comment on that I didn’t get to use it. Oh well.

Today was testimony meeting. I really enjoy testimony meetings. If I don’t get up and bear my testimony, I am always sitting back going over what I might say if I did in my mind. I really enjoy the strong spirit felt while I am there.

When we got home, we started a discussion about the comments that Jay has been leaving on my blog. John told me that there are people out there who are vehemently against the church and no matter what it is they say you are going to have to give the same answer, rely on your faith and pray about it. I really liked that answer, because without faith we have no testimony. Faith is the key. I went through a few situations in my mind and thought, yeah, it does just come down to my faith. Having faith in what I know to be true and right.

It was a great discussion that I was thankful to this blog for. I love discussing gospel principles and too often we don’t. If I hadn’t started this blog, we would have never had that conversation. Every little talk about faith strengthens my testimony.

That is all! Thanks for reading. Next week will be Lesson 2: “All Things According to His Word”
